According to NPD Group (a marketing research company), the typical monthly cable bill is around $20. By the year 2020, the typical cable bill is predicted to be around $30 a month.

You can read more about cutting cable here and the way to save lots of money by doing this. I recommend getting a digital antenna so that you'll receive local channels for free!

2. Negotiate your car and home insurance bills.

Many have too much insurance. Yes, I said too much! I know someone who has full coverage with a deductible on a car that is worth $500, I know someone who pays for towing even though their new car comes with free towing, and more.

By shopping around, evaluating whether or not you ought to change your deductible, changing the number of your coverage amounts, understanding insurance terms better, possibly taking a driving class, and more, you may be ready to save a big amount of cash on your automobile insurance bill.

I also recommend simply calling your insurance broker and posing for a reduction, repeatedly they're going to offer a reduction which will allow you to save lots of money only for asking!

Many of those same tactics are often applied to your home insurance bill also.

3. Shift to the cheaper mobile phone plan

Find a more affordable cell phone plan to save money. Some telecom companies provide good service at a low price.

My recommendation is to don’t buy the higher data package or expensive plan for your mobile internet. You can use the wifi of your friend and your colleagues.

Most people overpay for his or her telephone plan. If you're trying to find an inexpensive telephone service go for it.

4. Eat out one less time each month.

How many times does one dine out each month? How much does one think you spend monthly at restaurants? Most people are surprised once they sit down and track what proportion they’ve spent!

Eating out only one less time won’t kill you, plus it'll assist you to save a pleasant chunk of change over one year.

5. Stop smoking.

According to a study, the average person spends around $30 a month on cigarettes or tobacco, or other bad products. That is tons of cash for an unhealthy habit.

My father gave up the ghost partly thanks to his smoking habit (he had brain and lung cancer) once I was just 18. If that’s not enough to inform you that it’s a horrible habit, I don’t know what will!

6. Workout plan

You can increase your savings by membership in your gym. you can also start doing workouts in your home. It helps you to save both money or time.

There’s a gym in my town that’s quite small yet charges a lot. I have never once seen a soul in there so I’m unsure what’s happening. However, they are open so someone must be paying for it.

There are several ways to get a  workout both inside or outside of your home. While occasionally there are positives for paying for a gym membership for a few people, the bulk with a gym membership doesn’t get their money’s worth.

7. Purchase a water filter to save money on water.

According to The water development, a typical person spends around $50 per year on bottled water.

Instead of spending $100 on drinking water annually, you'll drink the water from your house. You can even buy a filter if you would like to.

Note: Yes, I realize there are some towns out there where the water isn't clean which water must be bought, but that's not the typical person.

6. Electricity

Electricity is usually ignored but it is a vital aspect that ought to, not to be overlooked.
There are some suggestions below that could help you to reduce your spending.
# Keep the temperature setting on your air conditioning at an optimal level of around 25-27 degrees.
# Bucket wash over showers. That helps conserve water and also reduce the load on the water geyser, enabling a  big impact on the consumption of electricity.
# Other small measures like switching off the light, fan, and the water purifier at bedtime, switching off computer systems when no need for it, etc contribute towards this objective.

9. Meal plan to save money.

Meal planning is some things that have completely changed our lives. We eat healthier than ever, we are saving money, and that we have less garbage.

That’s saying a lot considering that the average person wastes over 35% of the food they buy. Yes, 35%

This allows you to save time because you won’t have to plan anymore, and it will save you money as well! If you're curious about it then start saving your meal plan.

10. Drive a more affordable car.

According to a survey the typical person spends around $400 on a replacement car payment and $350 on a second-hand car payment.

Yes, I used to be even shocked once I read that statistic!

This is sad especially considering that a lot of people remove high-interest loans to buy their cars in also. New car buyers who had car loans at interest rates of 20% and above.

While $500 a month could also be affordable to some, I’m getting to assume that it’s tons of cash for many people. Plus, once you add in gas, maintenance, insurance, taxes, registration costs, and more, the amount goes to be much larger.

I think everyone can purchase a car that they will afford. I am an enormous believer that your car expenses should be 10-15% of your monthly income so as for it to be affordable.
